📋 Healthy Bangladesh — About This Site  |  Research-driven wellness content for Bangladeshis, built on peer-reviewed evidence.

About Healthy Bangladesh

Most health websites talk about avocados, quinoa, and gym memberships. None of that applies to life in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, or a district town. Healthy Bangladesh is built for people who eat hilsa and dal — not salmon and kale. Who exercise on their roof or at Hatirjheel — not at a paid gym. Who think in taka, not dollars.

Who We Are

R
Mohammad Ruman
Editor, Researcher & Founder — Healthy Bangladesh

Mohammad Ruman is the editor, researcher, and sole creator of Healthy Bangladesh (rumanwellness.com). Every article is personally researched against published peer-reviewed literature, WHO and ICDDR,B guidelines, and Bangladesh-specific clinical data. Ruman founded this site after years of reading health advice completely irrelevant to Bangladeshi life — designed for a different climate, economy, and food culture. Every article follows our six-point editorial verification process. Read our editorial policy →

Our Editorial Methodology

Every article on Healthy Bangladesh is built on a foundation of primary clinical sources. Our research hierarchy:

  1. Named clinical experts — Every major health article cites a named, credentialed doctor or researcher with institutional affiliation. We reference their published findings, clinical experience, or established guidelines directly.
  2. Peer-reviewed research — PubMed/NIH, Cochrane Reviews, British Medical Journal, The Lancet, and open-access repositories. We prioritise RCTs and systematic reviews.
  3. Bangladesh national health data — ICDDR,B, BIRDEM, DGHS, MOHFW, and NIMH Bangladesh.
  4. International health authority guidelines — WHO, CDC, NHS, AHA, and ACSM.

We do not treat anecdote, brand claims, influencer content, or social media as evidence. Every claim on this site traces back to a published, citable source.
