Free health and wellness guidance built specifically for Bangladeshi life — local foods, local context, two languages.
I started Sasto Bangladesh because I kept running into the same frustration: all the health advice I found online was built for people living in London, New York, or California — not Dhaka. Not our bazars, not our load-shedding, not our ৳200 daily food budget. So I built the resource I wished I had.
Bangladesh has one of the most vibrant food cultures in the world — hilsa fish, dal, saag, panta bhat, bitter gourd, turmeric, mustard oil. Yet when Bangladeshis search for health advice, they find recommendations built around avocado, quinoa, and gym memberships costing ৳5,000 a month.
Sasto Bangladesh (সুস্থ বাংলাদেশ — literally 'Healthy Bangladesh') exists to bridge that gap. Every article is written with the realities of Bangladeshi life in mind: Dhaka traffic that makes evening walks difficult, load-shedding that disrupts meal prep, the incredible nutritional value of foods already on every Bangladeshi table, and budgets measured in taka — not dollars.
To make evidence-based health information accessible to every Bangladeshi — for free, in both English and Bengali, and always grounded in local reality.
We reference hilsa, dal, saag, and mustard oil — not salmon, kale, and olive oil.
Every product price and budget suggestion is in Bangladeshi taka (৳).
Our health recommendations are grounded in published research and established nutritional science.
Every article, guide, and resource on Sasto Bangladesh is completely free to read.
Our articles span four core health areas, all written through the lens of everyday Bangladeshi life:
